Under the guidance of the Chef de Cuisine/Sous chef, the commis will be responsible for the production of her/his section in the outlet. Commis will also be responsible to maintain the proper stocks, cleanliness and order of the work station at all times. He/she needs to ensure work quality and cost control. The ideal candidate will have to consistently abides the QE2 food safety practices and provides an excellent dining experience to all our guests.

Essential requirements

· Be motivated & a self-starter

· Should be able to speak fluently in English

· Experience in a luxury 4* hotel

· 6-12 months or more year's prior experience as a Commis

· Ensures consistency and highest quality of food taste, temperature and presentation

· Knowledgeable of food service techniques and menu contents

· Maintains strict control on food portioning and wastage, ensuring gross food profitability

· Practices the hygiene and sanitation procedures set by the hotel
