Around the QE2

Located at Dubai’s Mina Rashid, the Queen Elizabeth 2 is in close proximity to some of Dubai’s most popular attractions including the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Just a short drive by car along the coast are some of the city’s latest hotspots including La Mer, a beachfront dining destination and Boxpark, an urban shopping and restaurant complex.

As a historical monument herself, The Queen Elizabeth 2 shares a neighborhood with some of Dubai’s other cultural gems including the Gold Souk, Dubai Creek and the Etihad Museum.


The Etihad Museum (8 minutes by car)

The Etihad Museum collects, preserves and displays the heritage of the United Arab Emirates in the areas of social, political, cultural, scientific, and military history. The museum takes its visitors back to the foundation of the UAE

Bastakiya (16 minutes by car)

Travel back in time with a trip to Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, also known as Bastakiya. This atmospheric area in Bur Dubai is one of the oldest heritage sites in the city, with a neighbourhood that dates back to the early 1900s.

Dubai Museum (17 minutes by car)

Housed in the Al Fahidi Fort which was built in 1787, it’s the oldest existing building in the city. You'll encounter colourful dioramas and exhibits that depict everyday life in the days before the discovery of oil. The museum recreates historic Arab houses, mosques, souks, date farms and desert and marine life. It also includes an exhibit on pearl diving, with sets of pearl merchants weights, scales and sieves.

The Dubai Creek (19 minutes by car)

Discover one of Dubai’s oldest and most treasured features. A wide river dividing Bur Dubai from Deira, the Creek has made Dubai one of the Middle East's major port cities. Don't forget to take an Abra ride across its sprawling waters.

Dubai Heritage Village (20 minutes by car)

Located in the Al Shindagha historical neighbourhood, this cultural area showcases traditional craftsmen and women in action -representing the components of wild, marine, and mountain life. Close to the Diving Village, it exhibits demonstrations of Pearl Diving – one of the UAE’s first trades.

Saruq Al-Hadid Archaeological Museum (20 minutes by car)

Housed in a historic building in Al Shindagha, the Saruq Al-Hadid Archaeological Museum takes you through one of the Emirate’s most mysterious and compelling archaeological sites: a 3,000-year-old desert hub for metalworking. With state-of-the-art technology and never-seen-before artefacts, the museum gives you an exclusive glance into the life and accomplishments at this site dating back to the Iron Age.

The Dubai Water Canal (23 minutes by car)

The Dubai Water Canal is a 3.2km waterway that serves as a perfect spot for a picnic, a long walk, cycle or boat ride. It passes by the bustling Business Bay and Dubai Festival City.


La Mer (13 minutes by car)

This eclectic beachside destination features a collection of restaurants, shops and outdoor activities perfect for everyone. Rent a cabana, make your way through a food paradise or bring out your inner child at La Mer’s outdoor trampoline.

Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) (21 minutes by car)
